These sections concern the operation, procedures and jurisdiction of residential property tribunals: RPTs shall determine applications questioning exclusion of properties from the right to buy on the ground of being particularly suitable for elderly persons (s181); the jurisdiction given to a RPT shall be exercised by a rent assessment committee constituted under the Rent Act 1977 (s229); the conferring of a general power on RPTS to give directions by order (s230); the setting out of the right of appeal from a decision of a RPT to the Lands Tribunal and Sched 13, which gives the Secretary of State power to make regulations relating to the procedure of residential property tribunals.
