490 _aRICS Commercial Market Survey England and Wales
_vSecond Quarter 2005
520 _aWarns that overall demand for business property stalled in the second quarter as companies become more cautious in their outlook, although the office market is rising. Higher interest rates and a sustained slowdown in consumer spending have contributed to lower demand for retail property whilst output from the manufacturing sector continued to fall and industrial demand from the wholesale distribution sector waned. The amount of available commercial space coming onto the market has fallen and surveyors report more incentives being used to secure tenants.
