520 _aRecords that residential rents increased at their fastest pace in four years in the three months to July 2005. Tenant demand continues to rise and levels of new available rented property have risen as more buy-to-let investors enter the market and existing landlords decide not sell when tenantcy agreements expire. This has meant that surveyors' expectations for rent rises have decreased everywhere except London and southwest England.
