The shortage of farmland caused by Foot-and-Mouth Disease crisis continues to sustain land values. There are signs, however, that the housing market slowdown and weaker economy are beginning to exert downward pressure on prices, with chartered surveyors remaining cautious on the outlook for the farmland market.
