520			_aExamines the implications of the energy performance of buildings directive (Directive 2002/91/EC) which is due to come into force across the EU in January 2006. The aim of the Directive is to increase energy efficiency in all buildings and introduce a consumer rating scheme similar to the one used for white goods. This should have a positive impact for facilities managers. The article examines what facilities managers can do to be prepared for the implementation of the Directive.
