520			_aSets out recommended standards for the performance of building control, produced by Building Control Performance Standards Advisory Group (BCPSAG), which the department strongly encourages all building control bodies, local authorities and approved inspectors to adopt in order to continue improving the quality of building control services. The standards and guidance cover: policy, resources, consultation, assessment of plans as well as site inspection, certificates at completion, records archiving, CPD, performance review, management systems, business ethics and complaints procedures. A new system of Building Control Performance Indicators (BCPIs) have also been developed which will enable building control bodies to measure the quality of the service they provide to clients. Also includes access to guidance on how to complete them.
