520			_aDetails the proposed rules update to the procedures for inquiries under the Electricity Act 1989 s62, in order to determine applications under s36 to construct large electricity generating stations and under s37 for overhead lines. The procedures take account of existing best practice introduced in the Town and Country Planning (Major Infrastructure Inquiries Procedure) (England) Rules 2005 and take advantage of powers created in the Energy Act 2004. The new rules will replace the existing Electricity Generating Stations and Overhead Lines (Inquiries Procedure) Rules 1990. Consultation deadline is 1 February 2007.
