520 _a[2007] EWHC 999 (QB), 11 May 2007. Discusses the case where the owner of a car parking facility brought charges against a surveying firm for failing to negotiate rent based on car park turnover, making the claim that he was deprived of making a realistic income from the land. The owner also claimed that the surveying firm had failed to advise on the possibility of constructing a car park on the land, or letting it to a third party car park operator. "Held": the judge found that the surveying firm had given negligent advice to the owner as to the potential rental income of the land, but that with regards to the construction of the car park, the surveying firm was not in breach of their duties.
