520 _aFinds that achievable office rents have increased by an average of 7.8% during the twelve months to March 2007. Speculative activity in the Midlands has boosted rental growth in the area by an average of 8%. The first speculative development in Leicester for over ten years has attracted a rent of £178 per sq m, 17.9% higher than previous prime rents. Scotland saw rental growth and an overall 8% rise. The importance of the M4 corridor is growing, with rents rising by 4%. Brentford, Chiswick and Staines are all rising well above the average figure.
