In 2005 the Northern Ireland Housing Executive became aware of the Salford pilots and commissioned a review of the units. This paper summarises the results of that review and concludes that the use of such units has a number of advantages compared with conventional construction in terms of cost, speed of construction and less disruption to occupants. | ||
