_vSecond Quarter 2007
520 _aReports that growth in construction workloads slowed during the second quarter 2007, with 16% of surveyors reporting a rise compared with 28% in the previous quarter. All sectors saw a slowdown in activity, apart from the public housing sector. Scotland experienced the fastest increase in workloads, with all other regions except for Northern Ireland reporting a fall in the pace of expansion. However, confidence in workload expectations for the next 12 months remains high, encouraged by the strong economy and housing market.
