520 _aComes into force 1 October 2007. Alters definitions applying to Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs) within the Housing Act 2004 parts 2 and 4, and section 263. The definitions are a person having control; matters a local housing authority considers when granting a licence; licence conditions; the person in respect of whom a rent repayment order can be made; and the circumstances when notices are served. Regulations in respect of overcrowding in section 257 of the Act are also altered. Also makes transitional provisions in respect of section 257 HMOs registered in the repealed Housing Act 1985 Part 11 scheme.
