520 _aReports on research examining the best methods by which prospective chartered surveyors might be selected. The research is set against a background review of the need to select the standards of entry into chartered surveying. It covers various academic and socio-economic groupings. Concludes that while a good UCAS score is a generally reliable determining factor, there is little to choose once a score exceeds 200 points. A student may obtain a high UCAS score with one-year AS-Levels. Suggests more emphasis on at least one A-Level grade of A or B.
