_vFourth Quarter 2007
520 _aReports construction workload growth continued to slow in the fourth quarter of 2007, with 16% more surveyors reporting a rise than a fall. For the eighth consecutive quarter, Scotland experienced fast workload growth, outperforming other UK regions. New enquiries for housing, private commercial and industrial work and infrastructure all experienced their slowest growth since 2006. However, skill shortages remain low and confidence in workload remains above the long run average, despite dropping again in the fourth quarter.
