However, the pace of falling vacancies and higher rents has dropped from six months ago as the impact of the global credit crunch impacts on several principal financial centres. US and Canadian office markets recorded modest slowdown in the latter half of 2007, while the Asia Pacific region posted uneven results with an increase in the regional vacancy rate. The office markets in Europe, the Middle East and South Africa recorded reasonable growth, while the Latin American region performed best with substantially lower vacancies and higher rents across nearly all markets.
