520 _aDiscusses the results of a study commissioned by the Scottish government into the value of planning agreements entered into by Scottish planning authorities between 2004 and 2007. The report also examines the purpose for which such agreements are being used, the ways in which they are secured and the potential value of such agreements in the period to 2010. Concludes that the number of planning applications linked to an agreement is low but rising, and suggests that the value of contributions over the period to 2010 could be as high as £167.1m.
