520 _aReports that demand for office space has fallen in the second half of 2008 in almost all regions and all cities, compared to the first half of 2008. However, the impact has been the most severe in the United States, Japan and much of Europe. All regions registered higher vacancies and most registered falling rents. Office investment transaction activity levels in most regions was less than half 2007 levels. Concludes that the outlook for the rest of 2009 is a further weakening of fundamentals with little prospect of recovery until 2010 at least.
