520 _aReports that the Urban Redevelopment Authority property report for Singapore is due on Friday 24 April. Predicts that with the Singapore economy contracting at such a rapid pace, unemployment is likely to rise throughout 2009 adding further downward pressure on property prices in both the residential and commercial markets. US home sales figures are due to be released on Thursday 23 April, however evidence increasingly suggests that the US housing market downturn is now at or near a bottom. In Germany, prices have declined by more than 11% in the 12 months to March, and in Japan the government was earlier this month forced to unveil a record stimulus package totalling Yen 56.8tr (11.2% of GDP).
