520 _aFinds that UK house prices have fallen by 12.5% since May 2008. The mix-adjusted house price was £188 991 (not seasonally adjusted). UK house prices fell by 0.4% in the quarter ending May 2009, compared with a fall of 4.8% in the quarter ending February 2009. Average house prices fell by 6.9% in Scotland, 12.8% in England, 8.8% in Wales and 23.2% in Northern Ireland. Annual average house prices paid by first time buyers in May 2009 were 14.8% lower than a year ago. House prices paid by former owner occupiers were 11.6% lower.
