520 _aReports that the new instructions net balance remained marginally in negative territory in June: this has been reflected in a further fall in the stock of property on surveyors' books. Buyer enquiries increased again, leading to another jump in the number of newly agreed sales. Price expectations turned positive in June for the first time since May 2007, and the seasonally adjusted net balance of surveyors reporting falling rather than rising prices improved from -43.8 in May to -18.1 in June. Although the balance remains negative, it is the highest reading since September 2007.
