520 _aFinds that UK house prices have fallen by 8.3% since July 2008. The mix-adjusted house price was £196 338 (not seasonally adjusted). UK house prices rose by 2.1% in the quarter ending July 2009, compared with a fall of 2.8% in the quarter ending April 2009. Average house prices fell by 4.4% in Scotland, 8.4% in England, 6.4% in Wales and 22.2% in Northern Ireland. Annual average house prices paid by first time buyers in July 2009 were 9.1% lower than a year ago. House prices paid by former owner occupiers were 8.0% lower.
