520 _aFinds that UK house prices have fallen by 4.1% since September 2008 but were 1.2% higher than in August 2009. The mix-adjusted house price was £199 303 (not seasonally adjusted). UK house prices rose by 3.1% in the quarter ending September 2009, compared with a rise of 0.3% in the quarter ending June 2009. Annual average house prices fell by 0.9% in Scotland, 4.0% in England, 6.7% in Wales and 18.3% in Northern Ireland. Annual average house prices paid by first time buyers in September 2009 were 1.3% lower than a year ago while average house prices paid by former owner occupiers were 5.2% lower.
