520			_aUK house prices decreased by 1.32% since August 2010 and increased by 0.6% since July 2011. The mix-adjusted average house price was £208 476 in August 2011 (not seasonally adjusted). UK house prices arranged unchanged in the quarter ending August 2011 compared with a decrease of 0.2% in the quarter ending May 2011(seasonally adjusted). Annual average house prices fell by 1.2% in England, 1.5% in Scotland, 0.3% in Wales and 4.3% in Northern Ireland. Annual average house prices paid by first time buyers in August were 1.8% lower than a year ago. Average house prices paid by former owner occupiers decreased by 1.1%. Annual average house prices paid for new properties in August 2011 were 9.2% higher than a year ago. By comparison average house prices paid on pre-owned dwellings were 2% lower.
