520 _aThe key points from this release are: the total volume of all new construction orders in the fourth quarter of 2011 fell slightly by 2.5 per cent compared with the third quarter of 2011 - constant (2005) prices, seasonally adjusted basis; the largest move in the fourth quarter was a growth of 41.6 per cent in infrastructure, whilst new public housing decreased by 26.6 per cent compared with the third quarter - constant (2005) prices, seasonally adjusted basis; the total volume of all new construction orders in 2011 was 14.1 per cent lower than 2010, and is at its lowest level since 1980, with the largest decreases being in other public new work (34.7 per cent) and public new housing (28.3 per cent) - constant (2005) prices, seasonally adjusted basis.
