520 _aLatest Living Planet Report warns that many species on our planet are facing a difficult future with the Living Planet Index which measures more than 10 000 representative populations of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish, has declined by 52% since 1970. The report argues that the leading cause of this decline is the unsustainable hunting and fishing, habitat degradation and loss and climate change and urges the upcoming generation to build a future where people can live and prosper in harmony with nature.
