The study found that the majority of quantity surveyors are offering discounts when tendering to provide quantity surveying services. A minority offers less than 10%, the majority offering up to 30% but some offering more than 50% discount. The study identified discounts that may possibly be unsustainable. The study also revealed that discounts offered to public sector clients tend to exceed discounts offered to private sector clients.
