An application for planning permission was refused on the grounds that the building was in a metropolitan green belt and that the building was detrimental to the surrounding character and visual amenities. G appealed against the refusal of planning permission and the subsequent enforcement notice. Inspector quashed the enforcement notice and allowed planning permission. SoS challenged his decision. "Held" the Inspector`s decision was defective. He failed properly to understand and apply relevant policy. | ||
