490 _aRICS Press Release
_v(pr002) 14 January 2004 (2)
520 _aRICS UK Construction Market Survey for the fourth quarter, 2003 shows that the construction industry has seen a pick up in profit margins and workloads. The industrial building sector has seen a surprise growth with 10% more surveyors reporting a rise in work than a fall, up 7% on the previous quarter. Reports that the surveying profession is optimistic that an economic recovery will translate into a resurgence of commercial and industrial contracts over the next year but the UK recovery still remains patchy.
