_v(P/2004/032) 21 January 2004 (1)
520 _aGovernment approved a proposal from Rugeley Power Ltd to fit a flue gas desulphurisation (FGD) plant at Rugeley power station in Staffordshire. The new plant will have a dual role. The FGD plant will be designed and operated as a chemical absorption process. Injection of a limestone slurry will remove over 90% of the suphur dioxide from the gases and produce de-sulpho gypsum which is used in the construction industry. http://www.gnn.gov.uk/gnn/national.nsf/Daily+News/ EFC0B057884D474280256E22003A8894?opendocument.
