_v27 January 2004 (2)
520 _aThe latest quarterly "CBI industrial trends" survey shows the clearest evidence yet of recovery in the manufacturing sector. The net balance of a 13% increase in orders is the largest since October 1996, the improvement coming from both domestic and foreign sources. Export orders have gone up for the first time in seven years and exporters are more confident about the next three months. Output has also increased for the first time in three years. The survey shows the smallest fall in sectoral employment for almost three years. http://www.cbi.org.uk/ndbs/press.nsf/0363c1f07c6ca 12a8025671c00381cc7/53af4a8b0ff8774480256e1d00423f ae?OpenDocument
