520 _a[2004] EWHC 12 (Ch), 22 January 2004. Claimant Oxfordshire CC (X) received application from second defendant (R) for registration of a piece of land known as Trap Ground as a town green. The first defendant Oxford City Council (Y) opposed application. X set up non-statutory public inquiry which recommended part registration of the green. X sought guidance on how the Commons Registration Act 1965 and the Commons Registration (New Land) Regulations 1969 should be applied with respect to this application and centred on the question of whether Trap Green was eligible to be registered as a class c town green. Para 30 sets out the issues for consideration and interpretation. Paras 31 to 106 provide guidance on each issue raised. Held that any 20 year use for games was sufficient for R to register the land as a green. View at www.courtservice.gov.uk.
