520 _aThe Deputy Prime Minister has launched the Housing Quality Forum which will bring together representatives from local authorities, development agencies, house builders, housing associations and mortgage lenders in order to debate design quality and affordability in the four housing growth areas. A funding package worth £22 million has been allocated to help deliver more affordable homes, jobs and growth in southeast England. The money wil be used to provide better transport links, make environmental improvements and re-claim derelict land in the London-Stansted-Cambridge-Peterborough growth area.
