520 _aA working group involving both private and public sector stakeholders has been set up to progress the introduction of Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) in Scotland. This follows on the very positive response to the BIDs consultation completed in October 2003. The working group's remit is to make recommendations on the involvement of property owners, the introduction of pilot projects, the production of a draft guidance document and the use of BIDs in rural areas.
