_v(163/04) 29 April 2004 (2)
520 _aA regional timetable has been announced which will enable the public to roam previously off-limits countryside. Under the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 the process of allowing this access is being introduced in a rolling programme, rather than waiting for mapping and appeals processes to be completed. The first two areas to be opened are the southeast and the lower northwest on 19 September 2004, coinciding with National Walking Day. The last area will be the east of England in November 2005.
