520 _aThe "Brooke report", which has been published, sets out a plan to re-engage RICS members at local level, providing relevant professional links. Communication is to be simplified, better targeted and clearer and policy making is to be more transparent. Accepted recommendations are to be properly resourced, with no extra funds from members. Key themes tackled include devolution, professional communities, communication, self-regulation and RICS matrics. The report follows six months of member consultation and most of the several thousand members who have submitted their views have endorsed the proposals. Copies of the report are downloadable from http://www.rics.org. http://www.rics.org/ricscms/bin/show?class=PressRe lease&template=/includes/showpr.html&id=1189&facul ty=RICS
