520 _a[2004] EWCA Civ 649, 10 May 2004. Appeal by claimant (F) against a deduction of £66 345 made by the LT (ACQ/84/1997, unreported) when considering a claim for compensation for disturbance and losses for the compulsory acquisition of his freehold interest in a commercial property. The deduction was made to reflect the value of the freed-up time of F which in paragraph 3 is described as the time which F did not have to devote to his business activities due to loss of business caused by the CPO scheme when he could have been engaged in other profitable activities. Appeal allowed. Deduction for freed-up time reinstated in total value of compensation awarded. View decision at www.bailii.org.
