_v3 August 2004 (3)
520 _aThe latest "Distributive trades survey" from the CBI has just been published. It shows that following two months of strong growth, particularly in goods such as football clothing, TVs and beer (due to Euro 2004 promotions), sales have now slowed and are expected to continue to do so during August. 48% of firms said sales were up on a year ago, while 24% said they were down. The underlying trend in sales growth remained high in July 2004 at plus 39% - compared to plus 41% in June. http://www.cbi.org.uk/ndbs/press.nsf/0363c1f07c6ca 12a8025671c00381cc7/62ab2a417ddc74ac80256ede003b08 be?OpenDocument
