_v6 August 2004 (1)
520 _aA three-month consultation has been launched into the future of government grants for the repair of historic buildings and to seek views on a proposed new scheme: the Historic Environment Regeneration Fund. Currently grants are awarded by Historic Scotland, which was set up in 1991 as an Executive Agency of the Scottish Executive to safeguard the nation's built heritage and promote its understanding and enjoyment. It has awarded over £140m in grants in that time, which has generated match funding in excess of £300m. http://www.scotland.gov.uk/News/Releases/2004/08/0 6153915
