||
| 520 | _aThe "Royal Mail map of business start-ups" has been released. This plots key areas for new businesses across all of the UK's 121 postcodes and reveals that east London has more firms starting up in the area than anywhere else in the UK. Birmingham was third and Manchester held fifth place. The map also included a number of smaller towns, such as Crewe in 11th place, beating the larger traditional areas of commercial success such as Liverpool in 21st place. Internet access and new technology has made it less important for businesses to be located close to each other and has sparked a revival in a number of former factory towns that have become depressed in recent years due to traditional industries disappearing. http://www.royalmailgroup.com/news/expandarticle.a sp?id=1348&brand=royal_mail | ||
