_v(pr083) 15 September 2004 (2)
520 _aFlooding is a growing risk for the UK property market and according to a report recently published by RICS, "Flooding and residential property values", the 1.7m homes believed to be at risk from river or coastal flooding in England could see their market value drop by as much as 40%. The RICS report is based on the results of a survey of valuers across the country. On average, most valuers said they would mark down a property subject to flooding by about 12-15%, but in some cases the figure quoted was as high as 40%. http://www.rics.org/default
