_aODPM News Release _v(2004/0221) 16 September 2004 (2) |
||
| 520 | _aA full consultation on the structure of the planning fees system has been launched. To date the planning system has been under-funded, and whilst government planning delivery grants have helped, the fees that councils can charge are still far short of the costs of dealing with applications, especially large ones. Views are invited from all users of the planning system - developers, councils and the general public to ensure that fees are increased sensibly and proportionately. The consultation ends on 6 December and "Changes to the system of planning fees in England: a consultation document" can be found at: http://www.odpm.gov.uk/stellent/groups/odpm_planni ng/documents/page/odpm_plan_031129.pdf. http://www.odpm.gov.uk/pns/DisplayPN.cgi?pn_id=200 4_0221 | ||
