520 _aThe "RICS construction market survey United Kingdom" for the third quarter 2004 shows profit expectations rising to their highest level since the end of the millennium construction boom. Growth in construction workloads has slowed in the third quarter following a strong first six months of 2004 but remains above the long-term average for the survey. The slowdown has been fairly sharp in the private housebuilding and non-housing public works sectors. Surveyors remain very optimistic for activity over the next three and 12 months with private sector work providing the main boost. The survey is available at http://www.rics.org/NR/rdonlyres/AB3809FE-4E71-4E3 4-B48F-3C6BC021D8D6/0/RICS_construction_survey_Q30 4.pdf. http://www.rics.org/Builtenvironment/builders+bank +on+profits.htm
