| 520 | _aThe property boom of the past seven years has pushed the ratio of house prices to the inheritance tax (IHT) threshold to record levels in most UK regions, according to new research by PricewaterhouseCoopers. "House prices and inheritance tax" found that for a great many older people, their homes are their major asset and one that is not easy to shelter from IHT. Since 1997, the ratio of average UK house prices to the IHT threshold has risen steadily from 32% to around 65%. The report looks at options for dealing with this increasingly prevalent financial issue. http://www.ukmediacentre.pwc.com/content/detail.as p?ReleaseID=1029&NewsAreaID=2 | ||
