520 _a"Regulation of waste management" has been published by the Environment Agency Wales. It estimates that more than 500 waste management facilities need to be developed in Wales as existing landfill capacity will be exhausted before 2010. IT predicts increasing illegal disposal of waste - which costs up to £150m a year to clean up. There is also a specific problem with hazardous waste as there are currently no sites in Wales licensed to accept it since new legislation does not allow solid hazardous waste to be disposed of in the same landfill as non-hazardous. The report can be downloaded from the website. http://www.agw.wales.gov.uk/notices/2004/agw2004_9 pn.htm
