520 _aThe British council of shopping centres' has published "The smaller towns report: delivering retail-led renaissance in towns and smaller cities". The report identifies how smaller towns can differentiate themselves based on competition, catchment, character, choice and convenience. It also argues that planning obligations and affordable housing requirements must be halted to enable towns and small cities to attract commercial development. This will kick-start retail-led regeneration and will attract shoppers and ultimately investors. For more information visit: http://www.bcsc.org.uk/index.asp.
