490 _aRICS Press Release
_v(pr097) 16 November 2004 (20)
520 _a"RICS UK housing market survey: October 2004" has been published. The report shows that house prices continue to fall nationwide. It shows that 41% more chartered surveyors are reporting price falls than rises, 12% more than in September and the highest number reporting a fall since December 1992. Despite speculation over falls, there is little evidence of panic selling. The main contributor to the fall in activity is the lack of new buyers entering the market. This in turn has contributed to the current strength of the lettings market. The survey is available to download from the website. http://www.rics.org/RICSWEB/getpage.aspx?p=sLK48ZB vIU-nKTzIvMf67w==
