520 _aPresents the results of a survey of 800 UK ICES commercial management specialist members. The procurement section of the survey sought to identify the business activities of members and the procurement forms they deal with on a daily basis. It also sought to assess the popularity of the standard methods of measurement. The findings are illustrated in tables headed: the manner by which workload was tied to procurement methods; a guide to the split between standard and bespoke forms by sector; the various formats identified in the survey and their percentage of use by the contributors; and the data correlated with the usage of standard and bespoke contracts. Concludes that traditional contracts utilising tried methods of measurement are still dominant, but practitioners should keep up with the increasingly diverse field of contracting arrangements.
