| 520 | _aA report commissioned by the Housing Corporation, "Community conflict", states that lettings policies should be altered to create communities that are racially, demographically and socially more balanced. Current social housing allocations and lettings polices have produced neighbourhoods with disproportionately and disruptively high densities of children and adolescents - leading to tensions. Lettings policies should be flexible enough to be altered to produce more balanced and sustainable communities in terms of demography, racial mix, social networks of friends and families, and mixed incomes. The report is available to download from: http://www.lemosandcrane.co.uk/Home.asp?ObjectID=3 6. | ||
