Daniel James Estate Agents, a Suffolk estate agency that does all its business via the internet, claiming that it offers as good a service as any similar sized traditional agency at a much lower cost. Henry Pryor, formerly of FPD Savills, has set up a new operation trading under the name of Charles Lister, which links more than 100 offices across the UK through a small version of the multiple listing system (MLS) used in the USA and in parts of Europe. Charles Lister shares a 2.5% joint agency fee with the office marketing a property if a property is sold to clients who found it via the site.
