520 _aDescribes the positive aspects of the Private Finance Inititaitve (PFI). Its proponents argue that the system has been unfairly criticised by some, as many of its early problems have been sorted out and the taxpayers now get better value for money. The PFI sector is now providing a dynamic market for work including many of the larger national law firms such as City based Trowers and Hamlin. Many stress that PFI is not a rigid system and is evolving all the time with examples like the recent innovation with NHS local improvement finance trusts.
